Chalbi Green
Description
Chalbi. Gabbra for bare and salty, and the name of Kenya's only true desert: a white plain east of Lake Turkana that used to be a lake itself.
A light green front on arms of ebony and maple, layered and pressed for strength, then shaped by hand.
Built for long, bright days with nothing in the way of shade.
Polarised lenses. UV400 protection. Cat.3 filter for equatorial sun.
Born in Africa.

Care
Home is the case
Keep them in their case when they’re not on your face.
Not the back pocket
The fastest way to sit on them.
Rinse after the sea
Salt, sand and sunscreen dull the finish. Fresh water, then dry.
Not with your shirt
A shirt hem scratches. Use a microfibre cloth.
Two hands on, two off
The hinges last longer.
Don’t bend to fit
Wood cracks before it gives.
Hang ’em on the indicator
When the sun sets. A rally driver’s trick: easy to find, never scratched, never sat on.
Out of reach
Dogs and toddlers both think they’re toys.
Always wear them on a first date. You’ll do awesome.
